Organisational Prevention of Workplace Violence – Good Practices and Innovative Approaches
The event “Organisational Prevention of Workplace Violence – Good Practices and Innovative Approaches”, organised by EU-OSHA's focal point in Germany Bundesanstalt für Arbeitsschutz und Arbeitsmedizin, aims to deepen the understanding of organisational approaches to preventing violence at work and to promote the exchange of practical experience.
The event will examine different forms of workplace violence and current challenges, drawing on relevant EU-OSHA data, and will discuss the importance of organisational prevention in occupational safety and health. Key aspects include the legal framework, organisational culture, leadership, recognition and appreciation, participation and feedback structures. Good-practice impulses from invited companies and organisations will illustrate practical approaches, challenges, success factors and lessons learned.
A transfer workshop will allow participants to discuss the practical application of the topics, identify key challenges and develop possible approaches for action. The event aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and strengthen the transfer of effective prevention approaches into practice.
The target audience comprises occupational safety and health professionals, including occupational safety specialists, occupational physicians, HR professionals and employee representatives, as well as other stakeholders involved in the prevention of workplace violence.
