Preventing work-related diseases in Lithuania

State Labour Inspectorate /Valstybinė darbo inspekcija, our focal point in Lithuania, together with the Institute of Hygiene, is organising an online learning seminar on work-related disease prevention. It will welcome occupational health professionals, medical experts, representatives from OSH services and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to raise awareness about this kind of work-related health issues.


In alignment with the 2023-25 Healthy Workplaces Campaign 'Safe and healthy work in the digital age', participants will learn about different EU-OSHA projects on occupational disease. This seminar will highlight strategies to minimise the occurrence of these health issues ensuring the wellbeing of workers and reducing the associated societal and economic costs. A focus will be placed on cardiovascular disease prevention and dealing with occupational fatigue for healthcare workers.
