Briefing occupational safety officers with the latest updates in OSH

Occupational safety officers are essential to ensure safe workplaces and worker wellbeing.

On 9 November, the Department of Labour Inspection, Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, EU-OSHA's focal point in Cyprus, will host a seminar dedicated to occupational safety officers from Cyprus. This event is designed to offer information and share knowledge among professionals responsible for ensuring occupational safety and health (OSH) within organisations.

The country’s Statistical Analysis of Occupational Accidents 2022 report will be presented. The participants will also explore technical inspections of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) installations and look at the checklist for explosion protection. Experts will share their resources on the provisions outlined in national OSH legislation regarding electricity. The winner of the national Good Practice Competition will also be recognised at the event.

An information session will take place about our Healthy Workplaces ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ Campaign, where the challenges and opportunities for OSH in a digitalised world will be examined.
