Security Magazine, EU-OSHA’s media partner, has announced the winners of its 2025 Security Awards. Following an extensive application process open to organisations across Portugal, and a public voting involving the magazine’s readership, the 2025 winners were revealed.

This year, excellence was recognised across a wide range of categories, including workplace safety, cybersecurity awareness, electronic and corporate security, and more. A total of 22 projects from 21 organisations competed.

In the workplace safety category, the award was presented to Joaquim Chaves Saúde, a radiotherapy provider, honoured for its integrated initiatives promoting employee safety, health, and wellbeing.

The awards ceremony is set to take place in July in Lisbon, gathering invited guests and industry leaders to celebrate the achievements shaping Portugal’s security landscape.

In line with the tradition of recognising good practices, the HWC Good Practice Awards also recently announced their winners and commended cases. These awards highlight the use of digital tools and innovative processes to improve safety and health at work. Among the winning entries was the Portuguese company Amarsul – Tratamento e Valorização de Resíduos Sólidos, S.A., recognised for its digital systems supporting occupational safety and health monitoring, prevention, and alerting in the field of waste management.
