Safe work environments in the digital age: Seminar in Norway

Our Norwegian focal point Arbeidstilsynet/The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority is hosting a seminar to launch EU-OSHA’s Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2023-25 ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ in the country. Taking place on 25 October in Oslo and online, the event is intended to provide an overview on how digitalisation is shaping our future working environments and the various opportunities and challenges it presents.

The participants – managers, employees, occupational safety and health experts and human resources professionals – will learn about various topics such as the relationship between personal data rights and wearable technology as well as artificial intelligence and its wider impact on the workplace.

Advanced robotics will also feature as a discussion point examining which tasks can be aided by such technologies. As hybrid work gains popularity, attendees will also discuss the long-term impacts of remote work.

Moderator:

  • Karin Scheel, senior advisor, The Norwegian Labour Inspection

Speakers:

  • Astrid Ramstad, Head Engineer, Dr. Scient, The Norwegian Labour Inspection
