Prenne Conference: Focus on Digitalisation and OSH

A conference dedicated to professionals and experts in the field of Occupational Safety and Health is taking place in Belgium. Hosted by our national point SPF Emploi, Travail et Concertation Sociale – FOD Werkgelegenheid, Arbeid en Sociaal Overleg as part of the Healthy Workplaces campaign on digitisation, it will offer a series of informative modules throughout the day.

One of the key sessions, "Cobots on the Shop Floor: It's About More Than Machine Safety," will provide insights into collaborative robots, or cobots, and their integration into industrial settings. It will explore how cobots can enhance workplace safety beyond just machine safety, focusing on the human-robot interaction and the potential benefits for employees.

Another session, "Training Life-Saving Rules in Manufacturing with Games and Simulations," will demonstrate how games and simulations can be effective tools for training life-saving rules in the manufacturing sector. Participants will learn how immersive, game-based learning environments can improve safety awareness and compliance among workers.

The session "Augmented Reality: A Partner for Ergonomics?" will explore the potential of augmented reality (AR) technology as a partner in enhancing ergonomic practices in the workplace. It will discuss how AR can be used to design more ergonomic workspaces, reduce physical strain on workers, and improve overall productivity.

The final session "Using Intelligent Wearables to Prevent Physical Complaints" will look at the world of intelligent wearables and their role in preventing physical complaints among workers. This session will highlight the latest advancements in wearable technology and how these devices can monitor and mitigate physical stressors in real-time.
