Addressing the challenges of workplace digitalisation during European Week

Our Croatian focal point, Ministarstvo rada, mirovinskoga sustava, obitelji i socijalne politike, will bring together 100 professionals to explore the challenges and opportunities posed by digitalisation in different types of workplaces.

The event will address the dual-edged nature of digitalisation: while this technology has the potential to improve productivity and efficiency, it also introduces new risks related to injury rates and psychosocial concerns. It will also cover how digital transformation is reshaping work environments, from the rise of remote work and digital platform labour to the increasing importance of mental health in the digital era.

A key focus of the event will be a panel discussion exploring the correlation between digitalisation and workplace injury rates, providing insights into emerging trends and risk mitigation strategies. Psychosocial health will also be a significant topic, as the event will explore the pressures and stressors that come with digital transformation, such as remote work fatigue and the blurring of work-life boundaries. Strategies for promoting mental wellbeing and fostering a supportive workplace culture in the digital age will be highlighted.

Targeting professionals involved in occupational safety, human resources, legal affairs and digital transformation, the session offers a unique platform to examine the legal, psychological and regulatory aspects of digitalisation. It is held as part of the broader European Week for Safety and Health at Work, which promotes collaboration and knowledge-sharing as essential elements in promoting safer and healthier workplaces across Europe.

Speakers:

  • Admira Ribičić, Director of the Department for Legislation and Legal Affairs
  • Sandro Kraljević, Psychologist
