Schaeffler’s Global Corporate Health Management organised the Global Mental Health Days from October 8 to 10, 2024, with the central theme 'Mental Health Goes Digital!' The event highlighted how strongly the digital world shapes our everyday lives – both positively and negatively. While digital tools can significantly contribute to supporting our well-being, they also present new challenges, especially in dealing with stress, multitasking and social isolation.

This initiative came at a significant time as Schaeffler AG and the former Vitesco Technologies merged into a single entity as of October 1, 2024. The Global Mental Health Days also represented a collaborative effort from both organizations, emphasising their mutual commitment to prioritising mental health and well-being in an increasingly digitalised world. This event, fostered the opportunity to raise awareness and provide valuable resources to both employee groups, ensuring that everyone can reap the benefits of digitalisation while effectively managing its challenges.

A total of 27 online sessions were offered with a selection option from 5 different languages. The discussions featured a diverse range of internal and external experts who highlighted both the opportunities and risks associated with the digital landscape while offering actionable tips for enhancing mental and overall well-being. The variety of topics ranged from the use of social media, stress management, digital withdrawal and resilience to ergonomics during remote work, tips for managers and inclusive digital work design.

In addition to the informative talks, participants had the opportunity to engage in practical workshops where they could learn mindfulness exercises and strategies for navigating the complexities of digitalisation. This hands-on approach aimed to empower attendees by equipping them with the tools needed to address digital challenges in a healthy manner. Ultimately, the event was designed to promote a comprehensive understanding of mental health in the modern workplace, fostering a culture of well-being that can thrive amid digital advancements.

Through these collaborative efforts, Schaeffler is taking significant steps toward supporting their employees' mental health, helping them navigate the intricacies of a digital world while also underscoring the importance of mental wellness in corporate culture.
