ADAPT is a non-profit association founded in 2000 by Professor Marco Biagi. It was established as the Association for International and Comparative Studies in Labour Law and Industrial Relations, its mission is to promote studies and research in the fields of labour and industrial relations, with a strong international and comparative
focus. From the outset, ADAPT has stood out for its interdisciplinary approach and its emphasis on the European dimension. It operates in partnership with the University of Siena and actively collaborates with businesses, trade unions, employers’ associations, and institutions. The name ADAPT reflects the association’s commitment to promoting adaptability — of individuals, institutions, and regulations — in response to the changing dynamics of economic and social processes. ADAPT was established with inspiration from the European Employment Strategy,
particularly the pillar focused on the adaptability of workers and enterprises in the face
of the challenges posed by today’s transitional labour markets.
Designing for modernisation is one of ADAPT’s core principles — a concept inherited from Marco Biagi — which continues to guide our efforts to translate academic research into practical recommendations for the necessary transformation of labour regulations.

As a media partner, ADAPT will actively contribute to giving visibility to the Campaign through its well-established dissemination channels, networks and research activities. In particular, ADAPT will promote and disseminate communication and research materials produced by EU-OSHA through its newsletters — Bollettino ADAPT (Italian) and ADAPT International Bulletin — which reach a wide audience of practitioners, researchers, social partners and institutional stakeholders.

These materials will also be integrated into ADAPT’s ongoing national and international research and action-research activities involving its researchers, further enhancing their impact and uptake.

In addition, ADAPT will engage with EU-OSHA representatives to explore opportunities for their involvement in events and initiatives where there is a convergence of objectives, thus strengthening the Campaign’s outreach and stakeholder engagement. Where relevant and aligned with the Campaign’s themes, such events will also be shared through the dedicated EU-OSHA media partner channels and website functionalities.

Finally, ADAPT will provide visibility to Campaign resources and outputs by analysing and commenting on key reports and tools, and by disseminating them through its social media channels and online platforms, which are regularly used to share research outputs, working papers and project results.
