Priority areas

Physical and psychosocial risks and their consequences are closely connected, especially, but not only, in jobs and sectors that are physically demanding.

This priority area of the Healthy Workplaces Campaign will look at:

• the impact of psychosocial risks on workers’ musculoskeletal disorders;
• the impact physical risks can have on how workers cope with psychosocial risks;
• environmental factors that affect workers’ A state of well-being in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. , for example, when exposed to chemicals, noise and extreme temperatures;  
• accidents and injuries in the workplace and their impact on A state of well-being in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. and how psychosocial risks can increase the likelihood of having an accident.
