Mission Statement

The Department for Labour Inspection performs activities related to:
inspection supervision over the application of laws, bylaws and other regulations in the field of labour relations, employment, occupational safety and health at work; taking and executing administrative and other measures and actions in order to eliminate the identified irregularities and harmonize operations with regulations; issuing misdemeanor warrants, submitting requests for initiating misdemeanor proceedings, filing criminal and other appropriate reports (initiating proceedings before the competent authorities); giving initiatives for amending laws, other regulations and general acts and proposing measures to improve the situation in this area of supervision; preparation of analyzes, reports and information from the scope of work of the department; establishing cooperation with other administrative bodies, institutions and economic entities; as well as other tasks within the competence of the department.
