Who we are

Our task is to disseminate information regarding European research on work life to Finnish workplaces, and relay information on Finnish work life to EU-OSHA. Our activities are agreed on and executed together with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, the national social partners, and expert organisations.

Our contribution

Finland contributes to the Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2026–2028 by aligning campaign actions with the objectives of the National Mental Health Strategy (2020–2030) and by promoting concrete, practical measures to strengthen mental well-being at work.

Our contribution focuses on identifying and managing psychosocial risks, including the promotion of mental health at work and the prevention of harassment and violence. Particular attention is given to the health and social care sector and to employees at different stages of their working lives, reflecting key challenges in Finnish and European working life.

During the 2026–2028 campaign period, Focal Point Finland (Finnish Institute of Occupational Health) will:
* Organize national webinars addressing key campaign themes
* Launch the national campaign on 22 October 2026 with the webinar “How Can Work Become the Best Act for Mental Health?”
* Share European and national good practices through webinars and the Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards
* Disseminate campaign materials and tools via the national website terveellinentyo.fi (Finnish) and social media channels (#TerveellinenTyö)

A key contribution in Finland is the active promotion of nationally developed tools that support workplaces in managing psychosocial risks and promoting mental health. These tools have been developed through national programmes, such as the Mental Health Toolkit, and are specifically tailored to the Finnish working environment.

Mieli Mental Health Finland (Mieli ry.) acts as the national campaign partner, bringing strong expertise and practical, evidence based tools. Mieli ry. plays an important role in supporting workplaces — especially small and medium sized enterprises — in implementing effective mental health and psychosocial risk management practices.
