EUsalt, an official campaign partner of the Healthy Workplaces Campaign (HWC) 2023-25 'Safe and healthy work in the digital age', welcomed members and partners to Bucharest for the organisation’s annual conference. This year’s edition brought the salt sector together to exchange on industry developments and workplace safety.

One of the highlights of the programme was the session “EU-OSHA and new trends in the world of safety at work”, presented by Bogdan Deleanu, EU-OSHA’s Brussels Liaison Manager. The intervention introduced participants to EU-OSHA’s priorities, while reflecting on how new trends, such as digitalisation, are reshaping the field of occupational safety and health.

The conference also featured the EUsalt Safety Award, recognising exemplary practices in workplace safety and further underlining the industry’s commitment to protecting its workforce. This year’s award was presented to ICL Group for its project “Captain's Eye”.

With other sessions covering topics from sustainability to market trends and innovation, the conference highlighted the sector’s focus on wide-ranging challenges and opportunities, including those affecting workers’ wellbeing, and their role in shaping the future of the salt industry.
