A robot automating manure cleaning to maintain hygiene in livestock (ID11)
Sustainable production in the food industry is the future. The Dutch tech developer examined in this case study focuses on agricultural machines in connection to dairy cattle. Their products are used in over 45 countries within the EU and around the world. Their autonomously driving robot can maintain hygiene standards inside cow enclosures and specialises in cleaning manure.
The paradigm shift resulting from this innovation could see farmers move away from the traditionally perceived role of manual labourer towards more managerial positions and responsibilities within farms.
