Using digitalisation to advance safety and health at work in Spain

A workshop in Madrid explores how digital technologies are transforming occupational safety and health (OSH), offering practical solutions to strengthen risk prevention. Organised by our Spanish focal point Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, the event, part of this year’s European Week for Safety and Health at Work, brings together diverse perspectives on the integration of digital tools into OSH practices.

Sessions cover topics such as the role of collaborative robotics in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the impact of digitalisation on safety in the agricultural sector. An interactive showroom features virtual reality experiences aimed at raising awareness of occupational risks.

The programme also includes social partners’ insights into the relationship between OSH and digitalisation, along with the presentation of EU-OSHA’s Good Practice Awards. The event concludes with demonstrations of digital tools and resources designed to support preventive strategies in the workplace.
