Good Practice Awards

The Awards recognise organisations that successfully prevent and manage psychosocial risks at work and actively promote a healthy psychosocial working environment. The 2026–2028 edition highlights practical, innovative and sustainable approaches that combine risk prevention with appropriate A state of well-being in which the individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. support measures. Any organisation — micro, small, medium or large — from EU Member States to EEA/EFTA countries can participate. The competition is open to all sectors and types of organisations. Special consideration is given to the realities and capacities of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises during the national evaluation process.

Eligible submissions are real-life examples of implemented measures that prevent or reduce psychosocial risks at work. Applications should clearly describe how risks were assessed, how workers and their representatives were involved, what In the context of OSH, organisational measures refer to the change of organisational aspects, work processes and job design to minimise potential harm for workers. In terms of psychosocial risks, possible organisational measures are the clarification of responsibilities and tasks, clear instructions, flexible working schedules, job rotation, improvement of replacement arrangements, shaping organisational culture etc. were introduced, and what measurable improvements were achieved. Strong applications show clear evidence of impact. Priority is given to organisational prevention measures rather than solutions focussing only on how to strengthen individual resilience. The initiative should be fully implemented, innovative where possible and transferable to other workplaces.

Each participating country organises an open and transparent national competition led by its national Focal Point. A national jury selects one winner per country in consultation with social partners. The selected organisation is then promoted at European level as the national winner.

Each participating country will have one national winner promoted across Europe. Winners gain visibility through EU-OSHA’s communication channels and are invited to attend the Healthy Workplaces Campaign Summit in 2028. Travel and accommodation are covered for two representatives — one employer and one worker representative.
