Remote and hybrid work: managing safety and health anywhere
The growth of remote and hybrid work boosted by the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the traditional concept of workplace and enabled reduced commuting, increased productivity and better work-life balance. However, characteristics of these working agreements, such as prolonged sitting, social isolation and long working hours, lead to a negative impact on occupational safety and health. Related physical and psychosocial risks should be addressed by employers and workers through a series of steps and a clear work policy.
