Webinar in Portugal: Implementing worker management through AI in a safe way

A webinar is being organised by our Portuguese focal point, Autoridade para as Condições do Trabalho, to examine the use of ( ) in managing workers and organising work, the current priority area of the ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ campaign.

It will offer occupational safety and health (OSH) experts, physicians and labour inspectors an opportunity to learn more about the digital technologies that are increasingly shaping workplace practices, while also providing access to promotional materials designed to support their safe implementation.

The session will also showcase research studies conducted in Portugal and include a debate between social partners and participants, providing concrete examples and data on the real-world application and implications of these technologies.

AI-based systems can be purely software-based, acting in the virtual world (e.g. voice assistants, image analysis software, search engines, speech and face recognition systems) or AI can be embedded in hardware devices (e.g. advanced robots, autonomous cars, drones or Internet of things applications).
