Our Spanish focal point, Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, in collaboration with the Virgen de la Paloma Vocational Education and Training (VET) Centre, is organising a workshop exploring how digitalisation influences occupational safety and health (OSH) in education and beyond.

The event brings together VET teachers and students to promote a culture of prevention and awareness among future professionals entering a digitalised world of work.

The event will include presentations and experts' insights and interactive resources, as well as information on EU-OSHA's Healthy Workplaces Campaign. Screenings of student-made videos that creatively address OSH in digital contexts will also be shown. There will also be a session on a practical guide on the use of (AI) AI refers to systems that display intelligent behaviour by analysing their environment and taking actions – with some degree of autonomy – to achieve specific goals. AI-based systems can be purely software-based, acting in the virtual world (e.g. voice assistants, image analysis software, search engines, speech and face recognition systems) or AI can be embedded in hardware devices (e.g. advanced robots, autonomous cars, drones or Internet of things applications). in education.  

The event takes place in person on 6 November and is streamed on INSST’s YouTube channel the week after.
