Who we are
INCDPM is the unique R&D National Institute on Occupational Safety in Romania. It works under the coordination of the Ministry of Education and Research/The National Research Authority, and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity which is the competent authority of OSH.
INCDPM develops applicative researches on OSH to improve the health and safety at work in all the economic sectors, and to consolidate an effective preventive culture in Romania e.g.: o Impact studies on the employees’ health and safety related risks at the workplace; o Certification of work equipment and PPE/EU Notified Body; o Studies and researches for the scientific substantiation of the OSH legal framework and national OSH strategy; o OSH Standards under the coordination of the Romanian Standardization Association (ASRO); o Risk assessment and auditing methods; o OSH training courses; o OSH publications.
INCDPM is a R&D prevention body and a policy maker in the OSH area, through its contribution to the elaboration and substantiation of the national OSH strategy/policies/programmes, in line with the European strategies and regulations in force.
Since 2001, INCDPM is hosting the EU OSHA Focal Point - Romania as a portal for the collection and dissemination of OSH information from the national level to the Agency, and from the Agency and other EU organizations to the national stakeholders, with the support of its National Network.

Our contribution
The EU OSHA Focal Point - Romania brings its contribution to the specific campaign topics mainly through the organization of the EU OSHA campaign events at national level. The Romanian FOP organizes all its events and initiatives in line with the main EU and national OSH related documents (e.g. The EU Strategic Framework for OSH, the EU OSHA SLAs, and the national OSH strategies/programes).
It also contributes as co-organizer to the achievement of other significant OSH events in the country, in collaboration with its National Network Partners e.g. The National OSH Congresses held in Brasov since 2023 on a regular basis/yearly, The National OSH Conferences of ARSSM/The Romanian OSH Association held twice a year, etc.
The Romanian FOP also participates in any OSH event organized in the country whenever invited and/or asked for any contribution e.g. it provides the campaign publications and the promotional materials to its main partners, with the help of the Agency (under the FAST umbrella). At any of the above events, the Romanian FOP disseminates and promotes all the EU OSHA current campaign topics, and looks for ensuring a large variety of invitees (central and local authorities, professional associations, worker & employer organizations, academic entities, representatives of large, medium and small companies, OSH experts.
