Hybrid work: new opportunities and challenges for occupational safety and health

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the shift towards hybrid work – combining both remote and on-site work – has taken centre stage. This discussion paper explores the phenomenon of hybrid work and its implications on working conditions and occupational safety and health (OSH).

It defines hybrid work in the context of paradigms and examines its key features as well as its proliferation in the European workforce. It sheds light on how hybrid work is reshaping established norms, presenting new opportunities and challenges for both employers and employees alike.
