How can algorithmic and (AI) AI refers to systems that display intelligent behaviour by analysing their environment and taking actions – with some degree of autonomy – to achieve specific goals. AI-based systems can be purely software-based, acting in the virtual world (e.g. voice assistants, image analysis software, search engines, speech and face recognition systems) or AI can be embedded in hardware devices (e.g. advanced robots, autonomous cars, drones or Internet of things applications). -based worker management (AIWM) systems improve productivity without impacting negatively on workers’ safety and health?  A new EU-OSHA report compares the approaches of two automotive companies: a participatory, worker-inclusive model in Italy versus a hierarchical, top-down model in Belgium. 

Worker involvement in the implementation of AIWM in the workplace reduces stress, and enhances safety and well-being, showing that AIWM can improve occupational safety and health (OSH) when collaboration is prioritised.
