Each year, our official campaign partner European Water Jetting Institute (EWJI), launches a publication about the most interesting topics in the water jetting industry, including those related to safety and health, which hold significant importance for the members of the organisation.

As a collaborative initiative to amplify the new campaign, the EWJI Yearbook 2023 has integrated an article authored by EU-OSHA Executive Director, William Cockburn Salazar. Within this piece, the Director dives into various aspects of the latest edition of the HWC, providing insights into its mission to raise awareness about the impact of digitalisation on work environments, including both challenges and opportunities, as well as the campaign’s advocacy for thorough risk assessments and promotion of information exchange and best practices. Noteworthy is the ongoing call for submissions at the national level for the Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards 2023, aiming to recognise case studies featuring effective strategies in mitigating digitalisation risks within organisations.

Acknowledging EWJI's indispensable contribution, the Director highlights the institute's role in drawing attention to and digitalisation in water jetting for safe and efficient projects. Indeed, through the efforts of the Automation Working Group, the organisation has already issued a guide intended to serve as a comprehensive reference document on automated industrial cleaning.

Apart from highlighting the campaign, the Yearbook discusses the efforts of the Health and Safety working group as well as the crucial role of the dedicated Guide about health and safety in water jetting, placing a strong emphasis on safety protocols and the accurate execution of high-pressure water techniques.

The Yearbook 2023 is accessible on the EWJI website with a full version available upon request.
