Media commitment across borders promotes EU-OSHA’s work on safety and health
Media partnerships play a crucial role in amplifying EU-OSHA’s messages. Evidently, the 2023-25 Healthy Workplaces Campaign ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ has once again received backing from a wide array of media partners across Europe. This includes both longstanding and new supporters from Ireland, Estonia, Portugal and North Macedonia, thereby enriching the campaign with even more diverse national perspectives.
What’s more, the partners often extend their focus beyond the campaign, actively disseminating information about other EU-OSHA outputs, such as OSH Barometer data, ESENER, Online Interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) and Napo, to name a few.
This cooperation establishes an exclusive community of journalists and editors, fostering an environment where shared experiences and best practices can be exchanged. Those who join the cause, have the opportunity to not only access valuable resources, which include digital or physical materials, but also reach out to EU-OSHA's extensive networks and stakeholders, particularly, national focal points, official campaign partners, Enterprise Europe Network, and winners of the Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards.
Being part of this partnership also means increased visibility for the media and their content, achieved through various channels, including the official campaign website, the monthly OSHmail, bimonthly HWC newsletter, and EU-OSHA's social media accounts (LinkedIn, X and Facebook). These platforms consistently engage with thousands of readers who have a grand interest and involvement in the field of workplace safety and health. Several news items showcasing the actions of our media partners have already been promoted on the website.
EU-OSHA builds a strong relationship with its media partners, upholding this commitment through regular email updates, dedicated events, and personalised one-on-one communication. Consequently, the partnership with the campaign goes further than a simple exchange of benefits; it embodies a dynamic alliance working collectively towards the shared goal of creating safer and healthier workplaces in Europe and globally.
