Students learn about artificial intelligence and automation in Maribor

A seminar at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Maribor examines how digitalisation, and are transforming the workplace and reshaping the notion of work. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of occupational safety and health (OSH) in the digital era and to encourage students to reflect on the opportunities and risks these changes bring.

Hosted by our focal point in Slovenia, Ministrstvo za delo, družino, socialne zadeve in enake možnosti, the seminar screens the documentary Human, Not Human, special mention by the jury at the Healthy Workplaces Film Award 2023.

A debate explores how digital transformation affects safety, wellbeing and job security, while also considering the role of technology in shaping future careers. By combining film, lectures, and discussion, the seminar provides economics and business students with the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world OSH challenges.
