Seminar for OSH consultants in the digital age in Cyprus
Our national focal point at the Department of Labour Inspection, Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance is preparing to host a seminar tailored for external occupational safety and health (OSH) services. This initiative focuses on the role played by approved consultants in risk prevention and safety management, highlighting the growing trend towards digital and remote working environments and associated emerging challenges.
The seminar will deliver presentations on the regulatory frameworks that govern worker health surveillance and the importance of occupational risk assessments, followed by an analysis of the changing nature of work due to digitalisation, including how technological progress influences OSH requirements.
A highlight of the event will be an exploration of remote working challenges and how conventional office-based safety protocols must adapt to address new and varied risks. Discussions will cover the importance of regulatory flexibility to allow legislative frameworks to remain robust and responsive to changing work modalities.
In bringing together these topics, the national focal point aims to empower the approved OSH consultants with the knowledge and strategies required to address emerging risks effectively.
