The Hellenic Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Hellenic Geological and Mineral Research Authority (E.A.G.M.E.), is organising an event to raise awareness of EU-OSHA’s ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ campaign. The activity aims to inform E.A.G.M.E. employees about crucial elements of occupational safety in digitalised workplaces, highlighting both the opportunities and emerging challenges posed by these technologies.

Key presentations will cover fundamental occupational safety and health (OSH) principles, Greece’s national OSH strategy and related legislation. The focus will be put on issues particularly relevant to geological and mining professionals, including the use of digital tools, preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and sedentary work and managing psychosocial risks associated with new technologies.

Attendees will also be introduced to the Healthy Workplaces Campaign’s website, Napo episodes and other OSH educational materials. The session will conclude with a live discussion, encouraging an exchange of ideas between speakers and participants.
