Institutions, academia and the business sector explore safety in Hungary’s digitalised workplaces

The Hungarian occupational safety and health (OSH) community will meet in Debrecen to discuss the impact of digitalisation on workplace safety in industrial environments. Representatives from national institutions, academia, policy-makers and occupational safety authorities will examine the repercussions and practical risks of digital tools on workplace safety, with a particular focus on .

They will emphasise the importance of regular inspection and management of digital technologies at work, along with strategies to address emerging risks and updates to OSH legislation in Hungary. In this context, EU-OSHA’s Healthy Workplaces Campaign will be presented.

The event, organised by EU-OSHA’s focal point in Hungary Ministry for National Economy, is supported by the Debrecen Chamber of Commerce, the regional head of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the University of Debrecen's Faculty of Engineering.

AI-based systems can be purely software-based, acting in the virtual world (e.g. voice assistants, image analysis software, search engines, speech and face recognition systems) or AI can be embedded in hardware devices (e.g. advanced robots, autonomous cars, drones or Internet of things applications). .
