How Robots and Automation Are Redefining Work
As the world of work rapidly evolves, it raises the question of how prepared we are to handle the challenges brought about by digitalisation and robotisation.
An upcoming event in Romania will explore how we can harness the benefits of advanced technologies while addressing the complex challenges they bring, particularly in the context of occupational safety and health (OSH), economic stability and social consequences.
Central to this event will be a film screening and debate session around the documentary ‘Human, not Human’, recipient of the special mention by jury at the 2023 Healthy Workplaces Film Awards. The film raises interesting questions about the essence of humanity as we are increasingly involved with and technology.
Topics include the exponential rise of robotisation, the replacement of human labour by machines, the redefinition of work and the implementation of surveillance systems. These issues are key to understand the impacts of technology on both our professional and personal lives.
Hosted by our national focal point, Institutul Naţional de Cercetare - Dezvoltare pentru Protecţia Muncii ''Alexandru Darabont'' - INCDPM, București, the event will also explore the challenges and opportunities of robotisation and its psychological impact on workers.
