Reviewing the state of play of the ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ campaign in Romania

An upcoming conference is bringing together stakeholders from the occupational safety and health (OSH) community in Romania to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ campaign to date.

The event will review our national focal point Institutul Naţional de Cercetare - Dezvoltare pentru Protecţia Muncii ''Alexandru Darabont'' - INCDPM, București’s efforts in 2024, showing the range of activities conducted to raise awareness of OSH issues in the face of digitalisation.

Experts from different fields, including labour inspectors, external OSH service providers and company representatives, will take the stage to share their insights. They will discuss various aspects of the campaign, providing practical examples of good practices and innovative solutions aimed at reducing workplace risks and improving overall working conditions.

Discussions will cover how technological advancements are reshaping human resources, including the impact of digital tools on the effectiveness of inspections, as well as the need for a coordinated response to these changes.

The conference will also discuss the psychosocial effects of digitalisation at work, including stress, burnout and the blurring of boundaries between work and personal life.

A highlight of the event will be a presentation by EU-OSHA's Tim Tregenza, Senior Network Manager, who will shed light on the Agency’s ongoing projects, studies and campaign activities underscoring the importance of international collaboration in addressing emerging challenges faced by workers.
