Organised by our focal point Department of Labour Inspection, Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, the event will provide a detailed overview of the institutional framework governing employee health surveillance. It will also highlight the methodology and importance of conducting comprehensive written assessments of occupational risks. Remote work and the challenges of implementing OSH regulations are also on the agenda. Attendees will explore legislation concerning seating and standing in workplaces, and the laws aimed at minimising physical strain experienced by employees, which is important in preventing long-term musculoskeletal issues. The event will also cover the reporting and statistical analysis of occupational accidents, as well as updated measures concerning the prevention of accidents involving dangerous substances, petroleum products, LPG, pressure equipment and elevators. This initiative aims to provide attendees with information on the Healthy Workplaces Campaign and its overarching goals. By presenting these objectives, organisers aim at empowering participants to take an active role in promoting safe practices within their workplaces, not only addressing the professional risks posed by digital technologies but also considering the broader implications for individuals’ private lives. Social partners will present their official positions, reaffirming their dedication and commitment to the promotion and successful implementation of the campaign. Emphasis will be placed on the need to integrate OSH principles into education, vocational training and lifelong learning frameworks. Other sessions within the event will be dedicated to unveiling a newly developed tool aimed at preventing musculoskeletal disorders, discussing smart digital systems and their applications within the OSH field, as well as shedding light on new legislative measures concerning carcinogens, mutagens and dangerous substances. Zu meinem Kalender hinzufügen 2024-12-04 01:00:00 2024-12-04 01:00:00 Challenges and strategies in OSH: insights from digitalisation, gender equality and transformation of the work environment This thematic workshop has been organised within the framework of the ADAPT International Conference 2024 (14th edition). The workshop features keynote speech by Prof. Lourdes Mella Méndez (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain) which is titled 'The Spanish OSH strategy (2023-2027): critical issues'. It gathers researchers and representatives from the academic world sharing their insights on occupational health and safety (OSH) in relation to the conference's guiding question: What do workers want today?  They will focus on digitalisation and the challenges that it has brought to OSH. The workshop has been designed using a holistic approach that considers not only digitalisation, but also gender equality and the work environment transformation that impacts on workers well-being and OSH.
