Presenting OSH principles and EU-OSHA's work to vocational education teachers and students in Athens

Students and teachers at the SAEK Metaxourgeio, 9th EPAL and 3rd EPAL vocational schools in Athens, will dive into occupational safety and health (OSH) and EU-OSHA's ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ campaign during two seminars taking place on 19 and 20 March.

Our focal point in Greece, the Hellenic Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, will provide an overview of fundamental OSH aspects relevant to vocational training and education, along with insights into the national system and legislation.

Speakers will present the Healthy Workplaces Campaign, emphasising the importance of managing risks associated with workplace digitalisation to seize the benefits. Additionally, they will discuss smart systems that can enhance OSH.

The session will highlight sedentary work and its relation to the early development of musculoskeletal disorders, along with tips on how to prevent them with ergonomic solutions. Psychosocial risks and how to address them will also be explored during the event, especially its connection to the use of digital technologies at work.

The focus will also be placed on the need to conduct risks assessments to effectively prevent and manage workplace risks. To facilitate this, EU-OSHA's Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools available for Greece will be introduced to the audience, followed by a demonstration.

Participants will have the chance to get to know Napo, watch some of his videos and check out helpful materials.
