Our Spanish focal point, Instituto Nacional de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo, is marking World OSH Day with a technical conference on artificial intelligence (AI) and occupational risk prevention, a key aspect of the ‘Safe and healthy workplaces in the digital age’ campaign.

Organised in collaboration with EU-OSHA and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the event will bring together companies, workers and their representatives, students, OSH professionals and other interested participants.

The first panel will explore AI and algorithmic management, focusing on their impact on occupational safety and health (OSH). Experts will discuss the challenges and opportunities that these technologies present in the workplace, along with relevant legislation at the EU and Spanish level.

The second session will showcase successful case studies on the implementation of AI for occupational risk prevention, particularly its applications for detecting the use of personal protective equipment and the role of worker participation, providing attendees with practical knowledge for integrating AI solutions safely.

A roundtable discussion with social partners will close the event.
