PEOPIL conference: focus on occupational health, human rights and tort law
The Pan European Organisation of Personal Injury Lawyers (PEOPIL) is preparing for its Joint Conference 2025 in Turin on 21-29 November 2025, bringing together lawyers from across Europe and the United States to explore pressing issues on occupational health, human rights, and tort law.
Day one will focus on safety and health at work, with sessions examining organisational accidents, public insurance and compensation, as well as legal and practical challenges in an era of rapid technological change. A presentation on human rights and occupational safety and health (OSH) in the digital age highlighting how digitalisation affects worker protection and rights at work, will also be delivered.
On day two, tort law and access to justice will be high on the agenda, offering a comparative perspective on recent developments, ongoing debates, and future directions in liability law across Europe.
By giving lawyers specialised in occupational health and tort law a platform to exchange views, PEOPIL reinforces its commitment as a partner of the Healthy Workplaces Campaign (HWC) 2023-25 'Safe and healthy work in the digital age', therefore contributing to the protection of workers and ensuring that legal systems keep pace with technological and social change.
