Digital technologies at work and OSH challenges and opportunities in Bulgaria

As digitalisation continues to reshape industries, workplaces are undergoing deep transformations. From artificial intelligence and augmented reality to automation and remote work, digital tools have the potential to improve workers’ occupational safety and health at work (OSH). However, it is also essential to take into account their potential risks.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, EU-OSHA’s focal point in the country, has organised an event to discuss the impact of digital technologies on work and workplaces. Participants will discover its risks and opportunities for OSH, learn more about the Healthy Workplaces Campaign and exchange good practice.

The activity, targeted at trade union members, local authorities and representatives from enterprises in the Plovdiv region, will also discuss the psychosocial implications of digitalisation when working remotely, the importance of conducting risk assessments and the right to ‘opt out’ from information technologies.

Moderator:

  • Kiril Binev, Chief Expert in CL “Podkrepa”

Speakers:

  • Alexander Zagorov, Confederate Secretary, CL “Podkrepa”
  • Yuliana Ilieva – Psychologist
