Golden Helmet Awards: Celebrating excellence in workplace safety in Latvia

A ceremony dedicated to the handing over of diplomas for participants of the prestigious annual ‘Golden Helmet’ award is bringing together key stakeholders in occupational safety and health from Latvia. This event organised by Valsts darba inspekcija, our focal point in the country, recognises and honours exemplary practices in the workplace, celebrating achievements in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees across diverse sectors.

The ceremony will be inaugurated by the director of the State Labour Inspectorate. Following the opening, the head of the jury will take the stage to provide insights into the evaluation process. Her address will shed light on the process that guided the selection of the winners, highlighting the criteria and considerations that shaped the jury's final decisions.

To acknowledge the contributions of all stakeholders, the national trade unions will present their special awards early in the ceremony. The awarding segment will then proceed to honour companies of varying sizes. This approach ensures that outstanding efforts in occupational safety are appreciated across all scales of business, demonstrating that a commitment to good practice is not limited by the size of an organisation.

Adding an element of engaging familiarity to the event, Napo will also be part of the proceedings.
