EU-OSHA is collaborating closely with the European Commission (EC) to promote Europe and occupational safety and health (OSH) in Taiwan and Japan with a series of high-level events and meetings.
EU-OSHA joins the EXPO 2025 and the Global Initiative for Safety, Health & Wellbeing (GISHW) in Osaka, Japan. This unique event welcomes the international occupational safety and health (OSH) community to explore the future of prevention in a rapidly evolving work environment. EU-OSHA staff are participating in workshops and symposia organised by the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Association of Labour Inspectors (IALI), and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
Together with the EC, EU-OSHA is organising a symposium on digitalisation. Mario Nava, Director-General of DG Employment, gives a keynote speech, followed by a high-level round table of social partners, government, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and EU-OSHA to discuss policy initiatives to address the impact of digitalisation on OSH.
In the lead up to the EXPO 2025, EU-OSHA Executive Director William Cockburn and Head of the Prevention and Research Unit Vibe Westh are engaging with the Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Administration and participating in the 20th Japan-EU Symposium “For a safe and healthy working environment” in Tokyo alongside senior European Commission representatives.
